The Institute of Advanced Studies serves as a focus for the wider dissemination of ideas through encouraging new research, hosting visits from scholars and distinguished professionals outside of the academy, including artists and public intellectuals, who can contribute to scholarly debate, and through stimulating public discussion on contemporary issues.
Since its inception in 2000, the Institute of Advanced Studies has continued to serve as a major focus for the dissemination of ideas across disciplines and as an active foundation for the intellectual life of the community.
